[SS.I 4.0] A common misconception about school shooters is that they are typically kids from stable, middle-class families. This document presents information on the families of shooters, including factors such as divorce, domestic violence, child abuse, criminal behavior, and parental alcoholism and drug addiction. The percentage of broken homes and dysfunctional families is very high. [This “information” document includes incidents through 2015; we hope in a future revision to extend the coverage up to the present.]
